Reasons to become an editor:
- Creating new filmographies and discographies is addictive and fun
- Enter, correct, and translate your favorite films, albums and other products
- Get involved at the ground level and help us shape the final version
- Know the satisfaction of having contributed to the world's largest public database
- Work with your fellow editors to help us make As Open a community effort
Our ambitions for the future:
- We anticipate that the As Open database will be crawled by major search engines in order to improve their search results
- We hope that the As Open database will one day eclipse the proprietary (i.e. closed) databases currently owned and licensed by large corporations (i.e. evil)
How we expect to make it there:
- By encouraging web developers to integrate our open data into their own projects, we'll grow in a grassroots fashion, enriching the internet along the way
- By engineering As Open to be fully internationalized (i.e. multi-lingual), we've worked hard to facilitate the sharing of our data by persons of all nations and tounges including French, Russian, Arabic, and Chinese - we're all about i18n!
