Welcome to the As Open Technical Database Project's alpha launch!

AsOpen.org was created to allow a community of editors to build and maintain a comprehensive technical database of product information. Our initial focus will be the entering of Filmographies of our favorite movies. Next up will be the entering of Discographies of our favorite albums.

Obviously we've got a lot of work ahead of us - and we need your help! Everyone interested in contributing to our community is invited to join us.

Announcement: On August 7th we reached 100 movies in our free database, including 2 in Dutch. On behalf of the As Open Community thank you for your contributions!

Here's how to get involved:

• Apply to become an editor and start entering Filmographies today
  You can enter all types of technical data, from the names and roles of key participants to the film and camera type used to make the movie.
